OGUN AMOTEKUN NABS THREE SERIAL BURGLARS, RECOVERS ABANDONED MOTORCYCLE


As part of frantic efforts by Men of Ogunstate security Network Agency(Amotekun), towards sustaining peace and peaceful coexistence of inhabitants during and after Yuletide,Men of Amotekun Corps Ogun State on the 3rd of January 2024 arrested the trio of Sunday Isreal 29,Benito Goodluck 20,Mosuru Ewuoso 32 for Conspiracy,Burglary, house and shop breaking.

According to a statement signed by the Acting Commander of Amotekun Corps ACC Aina Olukayode, the arrest was made following a report by one Oseni Abiodun of ACME school, Owode Egba in Obafemi owode Local Government Ogun State, Abiodun said he traveled to Ikorodu on the 27th of December to celebrate the new year with members of his family.
Upon his return on 2nd January, 2024, he discovered that his house had been broken into by suspected thieves, who removed valuable household items such as two television sets ,home theatre, a standing fan, a ceiling fan , a pressing iron ,car accessories such as compressor, shock absorbers ,car spring, car kick starter, jewelries, 6kg gas cylinder, a set of cups and plates.

Other items removed included a generator, a laptop, clothes and hotplates.

Following a professional intelligence led efforts of the Amotekun Corps,there was a major breakthrough which led to the arrest of the trio and recovery of all the stolen items was made in the house of one Sunday Isreal.

Based on the success recorded,three other persons reported similar breaking and Burglary into their houses and shops.

One of the victims, Oladeji Adeola of Elere Lugboko alleged that on the 30th December 2023, having closed from her shop as a provision,drugs, and cosmetic dealer ,later she sent her son to the shop to bring detergent only for the boy to discover the shop had been burgled and all items valued at N870,000 were carted away.
The third victim Omole Oluwakemi of Elere Road, a private school teacher left for school and returned home, only to discovered her house had been burgled. Among the items stolen are a Generator, a 6kg gas cylinder,cash kept in the bible, different android phones kept for repair .

 ACC Aina Olukayode said further that the suspects have been transferred to Ogun State Police headquarters for proper investigation
In the same vein, on 16th of October 2023 while men of Amotekun Corps State headquarters Oke Ilewo were on vehicular patrol along Oke Sokori sighted an unregistered motorcycle abandoned by the roadside with ignition key intact

It was suspected that the motorcycle could have been snatched,stolen or abandoned by unknown person who must have run out of fuel 

Meanwhile effort is on to locate the owner
In his words,AC Olukayode Aina emphasized the importance of synergy with members of the public with a call to various community leaders, religious leaders, traditional rulers and members of the public to continue providing useful information to the agency towards having peaceful and crime free society in the new year.
