100 Widows in Ogun Receives Welfare Packages from Barods Empowerment Foundation





In the spirit of Ramadan and Easter, Barods Empowerment Foundation has donated a food items to no fewer than 100 widows in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. 

The food items comprises of Rice, beverages, milk, sugar amongst others.  

The program which tagged "Widows Welfare Project" aimed to provide assistance to 100 widows, with 50 Muslims and 50 Christians especially during this challenging period, considering the current state of the economy. 
In attendance included the co-founder of the foundation, Mr Babatunde Denton, his wife, JCI Rockcity President, JCIN Amb Hazzan Kafidipe also joining virtually from UK is Mr Alli Adekunle who is also a co founder of Barods Empowerment Foundation.
Other Dignitaries include Past JCI Rock City President, Barr Motani Oyedeji who is also a member of the foundation board of trustee, Ajibola Akinwande the foundation general secretary as well as other volunteers. 

In his address, the programme guest speaker, JCIN Amb Kafidipe charged the the beneficiaries on the need to do frequent medical checks and educate them on mental health.

The widows having received the packages and lectures expressed there utmost joy and satisfaction with the foundation.

While addressing journalists, Mr Babatunde Denton explained that Barods Empowerment Foundation will continues to make a positive impact through its various programs and initiatives.


He said the project serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy and support for vulnerable members of society, regardless of religious affiliation.
