AWDROP Urges South South Governors To Implement Borehole Drilling Code of Practice



The newly National Vice President of the Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP), Dennis Nwenonye has appealed to the South-South Governors on the needs to implement borehole drilling code of practice in their respective state. 

Nwenonye, the Vice President (South-South) made this appeal while addressing journalists in Asaba shortly after the National Election of AWDROP. 
He urged government at all levels especially South-South region to as a matter of urgency begin the implementation of the resolution of the code of practice and water Council meeting 2013. 

According to him "I want to specially appreciate our immediate past President Engr Oludare Micheal Ale  for his meritorious service to our dear association and to the water sector in general."

"I also want to congratulate our new President Prof. Ipoola Okunlola who is a Professor of Hydrogeology for over 42years."

"I equally want to use this medium to call on all borehole Drilling practitioners within the south south region to join Awdrop to promote the advancement of our noble profession; Borehole Drilling, to standardize our profession and ensure the implementation of the Borehole Drilling code of practice at all times."

"I also call on Government at all levels within the South South region to begin the immediate implementation of the resolutions of the Code of Practice and water council meeting 2013."

"Awdrop will continue to advocate for policies that will ensure the availability of portable water at all times and everywhere."
