ARMY SHOOTING RANGE: SENATOR WALE APPRECIATES CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, SEEKS PERMANENT SOLUTION

A prominent indigene of Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Wale Akinniyi (alias Senator Wale), has formally expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oloyede, for his intervention over the disturbances caused by bullets from the 2 Division army shooting range.

In a letter dated 21st May, 2025 and received in the office of the Chief of Army Staff on the same date, Hon. Akinniyi conveyed the heartfelt prayers of Omilabu, Arulogun, Idi-Omo and other affected  communities to the nation's number one soldier for putting the shooting range in abeyance upon his appeal.

Senator Wale, who acknowledged the visit of the Garrison Commander and other officers for a two-day tour of affected communities in April, noted that the relative calm in the community abruptly ended on May 20 when bullets penetrated the communities yet again.

Conclusively, Hon. Akinniyi urged the Chief of Army Staff to direct the GOC 2 Division, Garrison Commander and other relevant officers and men of the army to find a PERMANENT SOLUTION to the challenge.

E-Signed
