History Beckons: Makinde Approves Ladoja as 44th Olubadan, Coronation Holds Sept 26


 The ancient city of Ibadan is set for history as Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, former governor of Oyo State, has been approved as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

This medium reliably gathered that Governor Seyi Makinde has given his nod to the nomination of Senator Ladoja by the Olubadan-in-Council, following a recent meeting between government officials and the Ibadan High Chiefs.

Confirming the development, Senator Ladoja’s media aide, Mr. Adeola Oloko, disclosed that September 26, 2025, has been fixed as the coronation date for the new monarch at the Ancient Mapo hall.

The approval marks a significant milestone in the Ibadan traditional institution, with expectations high for a colorful coronation that will attract dignitaries from within and outside the country.
