Ogun PDP Chieftains Jones, Adebutu Hold Talks on Party Progress


A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Olumide Jones has declared that the greatness of the party is not negotiable and nothing will hinder its progress as the 2027 general elections beckons.

Hon. Jones, made this known during a meeting with another Chieftain of the party, Hon Ladi Adebutu, to discuss towards the progress and development of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. 

The meeting was held over the weekend in London, and hosted by Hon Adebutu, was with joy and enthusiasm between the party Chieftains.
 
Hon Jones, who happens to be an aspirant for Ogun Central senatorial seat in the last elections acknowledged the leadership style of Hon Ladi Adebutu and also added that the party will bounce back in 2027.

He, however declared his readiness to work with the party officials especially in the Ogun Central district to make the party great again. 

Meanwhile, Hon Jones made it clear that he is expecting some positive steps from the leadership of the party so as to know which areas to come into the support of the party.

Speaking on his usual style of political practices, Hon Jones said that he does not practice the 'do or die' style of politics, but always the desire to always affect the lives of the grassroots. 

In his own remarks, Hon Adebutu appreciated Hon Jones for his suport to the party and also acknowledged his various programme and activities that aimed at promoting the party in the past.

However, he assured Hon Jones of his maximum support whenever he required such, adding that, even though the PDP as a party is going through a restructuring and re-arragement but poised to take back its rightful place come 2027.

Speaking on the recent By-Election held weeks back, Hon Adebutu said that, the election is an assurance that the party has regained it's strength and confidence, and that the people of the State are still with the party.

Hon Jones, also appreciated Hon Adebutu for the honour given to him to make the meeting a reality and assured him that more consultations will be ongoing and decisions will soon be taken.
