Wikki Tourist Halt Shooting Stars’ Unbeaten Run with 2–0 Triumph in Bauchi

Wikki Tourist FC brought Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan’s impressive unbeaten streak to an abrupt end with a solid 2–0 victory at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

The home side took control of the game early, with Usman Abdullahi breaking the deadlock in the 33rd minute after capitalizing on a defensive mix-up from the Oluyole Warriors. Just nine minutes later, Jepthah Mairiga doubled the advantage with a well-taken strike in the 42nd minute, leaving 3SC with a mountain to climb.

Despite a spirited second-half performance and several attacking attempts, Shooting Stars couldn’t find their rhythm, as Wikki Tourist held firm to secure all three points.

The defeat marks the end of a promising run of unbeaten matches for the Ibadan-based side, who will now look to bounce back stronger in their next fixture as they continue their quest for a top-table finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
