Ayodele Strikes as 3SC Edge Elkanemi in Narrow Ibadan Victory

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Elkanemi Warriors at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday, thanks to a composed finish from Ismail Ayodele in the 29th minute.

The home side dominated possession and created several clear-cut chances, but wasteful finishing kept the visitors in the game. Ayodele’s early strike—calmly slotted home after a clever buildup—ultimately proved to be the match winner.

Despite the win, many 3SC supporters voiced their concerns about the team’s lack of cutting edge in front of goal. A flurry of missed opportunities in both halves left fans calling for the signing of a more clinical centre forward to bolster the attack.

The atmosphere remained electric throughout, with Ibadan faithful cheering their team to the final whistle as 3SC held on to secure all three points.

With the victory, Shooting Stars continue their strong home form, but the message from the stands was clear: the team needs a natural, deadly No. 9 to truly challenge for top honours this season.
