I Stepped Down to Respect Party Supremacy” Abeokuta South Reps Aspirant Omo-Oba Withdraws



A House of Representatives aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Sheriff Adeola Olabode, popularly known as Omo-Oba has withdrawn from the house of representatives race.


Recall that the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun held a meeting with APC apex leaders in Abeokuta South Local Government where he endorsed the current house of representatives member, Hon. Afolabi Afuape for second term.




Hon. Olabode who made the announcement on Sunday while speaking with news in Abeokuta at his residence in Kemta Idi-Aba, Abeokuta revealed that he has accepted final decision of the party




He submitted that he made this decision to step down from the race  to obey the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun and respect the party supremacy.



Omo-Oba while addressing his supporters informed that he still remains a loyal party member and will not continue to to contribute to progress of the party and give back to his people.



He said" I have invited you today to inform you that i have withdrawn from house of representatives race. I have made this decision to obey our amiable governor, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun and our party, APC, our governor has chosen someone and we have to respect party supremacy. He is our leader and i want to tell you that i am still loyal to the party. I am informing you my supporters that i will continue to contribute to your well-being and i will not forget, this group will remain because the future is bright. We will continue to contribute to the progress of the party, APC. I still remain loyal party member"hr concluded



Omo-Oba therefore concluded that he would be meeting with some of his loyalists, groups and Omo-Oba babes tomorrow as to inform them of his next move.
