Shoyoye Mourns Fallen Security Officer, Teacher, Celebrates Return of Orire Victims

The Executive Director of JOSLAEC International Limited, Ambassador Shoyoye O. Johnson, has called on Nigerians to embrace national unity and celebrate the safe return of the pupils and teachers abducted in Orire, Oyo State, rather than allowing political differences to overshadow the successful rescue.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Shoyoye described the release of the victims after 56 days in captivity as a moment of joy and thanksgiving, noting that the development brought relief to families and Nigerians, particularly residents of the South-West.

He commended the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation's security agencies for their efforts in securing the victims' freedom.

According to him, the operation came at a huge cost, with a security officer paying the supreme price in the line of duty.

Shoyoye, however, expressed disappointment that some individuals chose to focus on criticism and speculation instead of celebrating the successful rescue and the lives saved.

He noted that while constructive criticism remains essential in a democratic society, occasions such as the rescue of innocent victims should inspire empathy, patriotism and national solidarity.

The JOSLAEC International Limited boss congratulated the families of the rescued pupils and teachers on their reunion and extended his condolences to the families of the teacher and security officer who lost their lives during the incident.

He prayed for God's continued protection over Nigeria, wisdom for the nation's leaders and renewed strength for security agencies in the fight against insecurity.

Shoyoye also expressed hope that the country would continue to advance in peace, unity and prosperity.
