CAN Akinyele Prays for Toheeb, Other APM Candidates Ahead of 2027

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Akinyele Chapter, on Tuesday received Engineer Toheeb Adegoke and other candidates of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), offering prayers and blessings for their political journey and the forthcoming electoral season.

The meeting brought together key political stakeholders, party leaders and candidates, providing an opportunity for interaction with Christian leaders as the APM strengthens its grassroots engagements ahead of the commencement of full campaign activities. Among those in attendance were the Akinyele Local Government Chairman, Hon. Wole Akinleye; the Akinyele Campaign Director-General; Hon. Akije; the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman of the APM, Hon. Dayo Opakunle; and former Ward 5 party chairman, Hon. Kunle, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.

Engineer Toheeb Adegoke, the APM candidate for the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, was among those who received the prayers and goodwill of the Christian body. The engagement also provided a platform for the candidates and political stakeholders to interact with members of the Christian community, reflecting the growing consultations and mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 elections.

The CAN meeting forms part of the wider political engagements taking place across Akinyele as parties and candidates prepare for the next electoral cycle.
