There Is No Peace for the Person Who Has Seen What They Could Become—Hon Ayo Fatokun
“There is no peace for the man who has seen what he could become.”
That thought, often associated with Epictetus, resonates deeply with me.
I have seen myself beyond where I am today. I have imagined myself serving Nigeria at the highest levels of leadership—perhaps as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or President of the Nigerian Senate. Not because of the title, but because of the opportunity to serve, influence positive change and contribute to building a better Nigeria.
When you see what you can become, you cannot remain comfortable with where you are.
But vision alone is not enough.
You must prepare for what you pray for.
If you can see yourself as a leader, start developing leadership. If you see yourself as an entrepreneur, learn and build. If you see yourself changing your community, start making an impact today.
Dream beyond your present circumstances, work relentlessly towards it, build your character, stay humble and prepare yourself for the opportunity you desire.
You may not be there yet, but you can start becoming the person capable of being there.
See it. Believe it. Work for it. Become it. 🇳🇬
